DAY 16
It’s been a while since we have been able to cache (over 3 months) as Chris (my partner) became unwell and the outcome was a Heart by-pass and quite a few weeks of worry etc to follow but he’s done very well and we are now able to get around again but we still have to take things a bit more carefully than before so he can build himself up again
We have managed to get two so far mainly because of the weather but we cant wait to get some more so roll on the New Year
Found Paper Mill and 3 Steps to Heaven (…lol) Not yet my friends.

DAY 17
Things on the caching front are slow as you know but we are getting the odd one here and there and the weather certainly makes things a little harder so roll on spring time ! We did manage to get our first First To Find (FTF) called “Off Yer Trolley” in Thame the by luck more than anything because I only came across it accidentally when looking at the map for caches in places easy to drive too and not in the middle of very damp fields and woods. We rushed out to get it hoping that a fellow cacher wouldn’t beat us to it as we had to drive from High Wycombe. We got to the location and it only took a couple of mins to find, we where very chuffed too be the first to sign a lovely new “DRY” log book plus it being our 1st ever FTF
Our Thanks to “South Oxon Stone” who placed this cache for the Geocaching community

DAY 18

We’re up to 270 cache finds now
and on the 26/1/13 we did our first Wherigo cartridge “Marlow Town Trail” which was great fun even though it was a bit chilly and as it was in the evening some of the information was hard to see in the dark (aging eyesight is no help either
but we managed to finish it and grab the cache. We also went down to Seaford in Sussex on the 27/1/13 and did 15 on the way to my mum’s for a surprise visit.

Hope chris can get out more and get further and further each time you go out. We are based in Staffordshire, well the staffordshire moorlands if you couldnt have guessed by our blog http://1tuffcookie.wordpress.com. I have achy legs yet the walking with geocaching really helps and has helped me stay fit and sane for the past almost 12 months that I have been doing it.
