Our Geocaching Adventure’s – Day’s 19 & 20

DAY 19

Spent a lovely day caching in Finchampstead today 2/2/13 with Chris and the geoboys. It was chilly but the sun was out which made it feel a bit better. Because of all the rain and snow we’ve had lately it was very muddy in places but we managed to log 22 finds, no DNF’s but one of them we decided not to get even though we could actually see it because it was about 15ft up a tree 😦 I have most things in my bag but a ladder …NO :D) I did forget my small bag containing spare batteries and tweezers etc which didn’t help and we only just managed to get round as the batteries in the GPS drained completely and the iPhone run out of juice right at the end. Good job the series we were doing ended very near where the car was parked because we don’t know the area and there were quite a few paths/directions we could take towards the end. There was a lovely bench at one cache site with a great view over the countryside. On the bench was a plaque with a lovely verse..see photos 🙂

‎DAY 20

4/2/13 now up 331 cache finds. We spent a few hours walking around part of the knotty Green and Seer Green series this afternoon. Most of them where easy finds but a couple had us puzzled for a while. One was placed in a very large dead tree trunk which must have come down due to lightning a while ago with a large cache box where I retrieved a TB (CACHE WITHIN A CASHE) and left a TB (The Travel Snail Geocoin). We saw a couple of deers run across the path ahead of us as the evening rolled in and we didn’t get to muddy :D)
